In 1964, Carroll and Ruby Hernandez founded C&R Quality Cleaners on Cameron Street in Lafayette, Louisiana. For over 40 years, their customers trusted their dedication to quality service. Their friendly faces were always a welcome sight in the community. Their daughters Carolyn Royer and Arlene Hernandez joined the company as soon as they were old enough and are still with the company today assuring that the same quality the company was built on is still the same standard today.
Today, C&R Quality Cleaners is led by Miles Frank. Miles graduated from ULL in mechanical engineering in 1989 and worked for Babcock & Wilcox as a service engineer before purchasing Park Avenue Cleaners in Crowley in 1997. It was there that Miles learned the dry cleaning business under Gus Cart, who started Cart’s Cleaners in the same location in 1964. In 2006, Miles expanded to Lafayette with the purchase of C&R Quality Cleaners and then again in 2008 with the purchase of Camellia Cleaners. The cleaning operation was consolidated with all of the cleaning processes moved to the current C&R Quality Cleaners plant and upgrading much of the equipment and installing an automated assembly system.
